A biography of Norvel Lee (1924-1992), an Olympic gold medalist boxer who broke racial barriers in mid-century America. Despite facing segregation, Lee became a Tuskegee Airman, scholar, and the principal in a landmark civil rights case. Beyond his 1952 Olympic triumph in Helsinki, he served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and dedicated his life to education and youth mentorship in Washington D.C. |
